Networking

Advertising
Small or large, advertising campaigns are time consuming for companies. It's not the advertising that takes the most time to manage, it's the prospects responses. Now more than ever it is important to make sure you can respond to everyone, even if they dont fit the bill.

My client has head-count for what might be known as Inside Sales or Telemarketing but they are looking for something a bit different call it the human side of the nurturing process.
Capture: online is a big element they are optimizing organic search with our keyword-based blogging and will be serving up calls to action through banner-ads and microsites. Blogging about their experiences is self-fulfilling as it will help people find us.
Engage / Convert: they are designing lots of great nurture paths and developing lead but know that a warm body will give them an important human touch they need to find a significant number of MQLs* to hit target in 2010.
In my mind, this individual will have a good understanding of marketing, be able to empathise with the marketers world and engage in a dialogue around, say, one of our current blogs / thought leadership pieces. Its less about selling at this point and more about nurturing / gaining trust / fostering preference. There is an element of relationship building but they need to be careful about how resource is applied as the volume of contacts will be substantial.
